There is no definitive starting point to my artistic career. I don’t paint because I “want” to, I paint because I have to; it is who I am. Different experiences in my life - work, travel, friends along the way - have all influenced my path as a artist.
For a time in college I worked as the curator for the university gallery. I lead a group of students in choosing the artists who would show, arranging show schedules, hanging artwork, organizing the opening receptions and more. The experience gained and connections that I made during this time were incredible.
After college I traveled Europe with friends, taking in as much art as we could. Again, an incredible experience and a wealth of new art knowledge.
These, and millions of other inspirations, have brought me to this point in my artistic career, and are the basis for my work.
